Lake Stevens is a city in Snohomish County that is named for the lake it surrounds, located 6 miles east of Everett. The lake was named in 1859 for territorial governor Isaac Stevens and was originally home to the Skykomish in the Pilchuck River basin. Lake Stevens was incorporated as a city in 1960, following an exodus of businesses from the downtown area to a new shopping center. The city has since grown through annexations to encompass most of the lake, and a revitalized downtown area is planned alongside new civic buildings in the 2020s.

Lundeen Park is a nine-acre park with a variety of family-oriented activities including swimming, basketball, shoreline access, playgrounds, and picnicking. It also hosts interpretive stations along a salmon spawning creek. The park features a basketball court, playground, covered picnic shelter, public restrooms, public dock, and swimming area.
Davies Beach is located on the west shore of Lake Stevens. It is a popular beach with a boat launch, picnic tables, sandy beach access, pier, and parking. You can take in a beautiful sunrise from this location or dip in the swimming area that has inclusive access. The park features boat launch, picnic tables, and water skiing.
North Cove Park is a four-acre waterfront park at the northeast end of the lake, next to City Hall, offering easy access to downtown Lake Stevens. North Cove Park is home to the Lake Stevens War Veterans Memorial and The Mill on Lake Stevens and the setting for annual community events including the Lake Stevens' Farmers' Market and Aquafest. The picnic shelter, observation deck, and playground were completed in 2021.
Spencer Island Park is a 4.4 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Everett, Washington that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and bird watching and is accessible year-round. Spencer Island is one of the best places in the Snohomish River Estuary to view waterfowl and shorebirds. Deer, coyote, river otter, and a host of small mammals and amphibians also inhabit the large island. The island has a dike top trail system, which provides scenic views of the wetlands, sloughs, and mountains.
Lake Cassidy is located north of Lake Stevens and three miles east of Marysville. The lake covers 131.0 acres and has an average depth of 11 feet. Snohomish County Park's Centennial Trail runs along the eastern shoreline and includes the Lake Cassidy Wetlands Park & Interpretive Trail. The Wetlands Park includes a fishing dock and limited disabled parking for those with the gate access code. Recreational opportunities include a boat launch and fishing.
